Becca's 1st real hiarcut

Okay, I can hear it all now," What took you so long, afterall you are a hairdresser and all." I think that is part of the main reason for not cutting her hair for so long. As any of you that have kids know once you cut their hair your baby is gone forever, at least their baby look, haircuts totally change their look and make them look soooooo much older. The major turning point for me breaking down and cutting some bangs (this is gross so if you have a weak stomach stop reading now) I was tired of pulling her hair out of her runny nose. She looks so cute but I'm still a little sad that I took that plunge. So here you go, before and after shots of the cutest baby in the world with her new little do.

I never know what I will see Gretchen in these days. The beauty of being 3 and able to put anything together without looks of utter discust from other people. It's funny that when we see kids wearing clothes that should not be put together it's the cutest thing ever, but if I walked out of the house in the same outfit, my size of course, you would be able to hear the comments and laughing miles away. The skirt and headband are a couple of things she got in a dress up trunk for her birthday. Thanks Kimball family it's been a huge hit with all the girls!

Gretchen turns 3!

We celebrated Gretchen's birthday twice. Since her birthday fell on a Monday and my parents were out of town for the 4th weekend we had our own little family celebration and then on the 19th when everyone was home including my sister and her family we had the big crazy family party. When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday all she would say was candles, (if only all the birthday's presents would be as inexpensive as a pack of candles) she actually got a new big girl bike, sorry no pics of the bike yet. And when I asked her what kind of cake she wanted expecting her to say chocolate she wanted blue cake. Hence the pictures of the "blue cake". Tony wasn't quite sure about the way it looked and I have to admit I was a little nervous about the flavor. It didn't taste all that great, but Gretchen loved it and that is all that matters.

Pretty in Pink!

I lost Becca this day, yes I said lost she doesn't usually leave my side, but this day she wondered up to her room and found some of Dani's makeup. Isn't she beautiful?! She certainly thinks so. She was so incredibly proud of herself. Note to any mom's reading this, DO NOT BUY LITTLE GIRL MAKEUP, it does not come off of anything. After several attempts with dish soap I kinda got her cleaned up.

She thought Gretchen should be as proud of her as she was of herself.
